Beit Chavurah Calendar

NOTE:
Lake County is now in the "orange tier" with regard to COVID-19
restrictions. As of now, Beit Chavurah plans to hold all services
"in-person" in the Lower Lake United Methodist Church Social Hall,
as we did before. Of course, there are special COVID-19 rules and
guidelines that must be followed. •
Naturally, our calendar schedule
has also been adapted to allow for extra preparation and safety.

During the Simchat Torah holiday, the last Torah portion (from
Deuteronomy) is read, as well as the first verses of the first portion
(from Genesis), thereby indicating that Talmud Torah– the study
of Torah– never ends. The idea that Torah study is cyclical finds
its expression in the joyous ritual of dancing around and around
the Torah, known as hakkafot ( ). |
