NOTE: As of July 28, 2021, the State of California has issued new Calif. Dept. of Public Health Mask Guidelines for us to follow. As of this date, Beit Chavurah will continue to hold all services "in-person" in the Lower Lake United Methodist Church Social Hall, as have done before.
Naturally, our calendar schedule has also been adapted to allow for extra preparation and safety.

During the Simchat Torah holiday, the last Torah portion (from
Deuteronomy) is read, as well as the first verses of the first portion
(from Genesis), thereby indicating that Talmud Torah– the study
of Torah– never ends. The idea that Torah study is cyclical finds
its expression in the joyous ritual of dancing around and around
the Torah, known as hakkafot ( ). |
